I have 10+ years of research experience in the design and development of near- and mid-infrared solid-state lasers which can operate in the continuous-wave, pulsed, and mode-locked regimes. The operation wavelengths of the lasers that I worked with covers a wavelength range starting from 750 nm up to 2300 nm and they can produce pulses as short as femtoseconds. As a researcher, I supervised a laboratory which includes state-of-the-art instruments such as; femtosecond lasers, optical parametric oscillators, ultrafast pump-probe spectrometers, and photoluminescence spectrometers which can perform measurements at room temperature or cryogenic temperatures.
I was involved in different interdisciplinary projects both as a principal investigator and as a researcher and I collaborated with researchers from different disciplines to perform optical characterization and laser application experiments for various materials including graphene supercapacitors, quantum dots, thin films, and biological samples.
I served as a teaching assistant for the undergraduate courses with different levels and I mentored internships. As an ambassador of the Optical Society, I have been serving as a committee member for the selection processes of different awards and scholarships and I have been delivering lectures to international student groups from all around the world.
