New Lens Design course being offered through UC Ir...

The Optics Institiute of Southern California is coordinating a new Lens Design Course taught through UC Irvine Extension.    The course instructor is OSSC Vice President Valentina Doushkina.  This is the first course in what is anticipated to be a series of courses leading to Certificates in Optical Engineering and Optical Instrument Design. Please check out the link below and associated info and provide your comments. The second course, Advanced Lens Design, is currently to be offered in Jan 2010. These will be followed by Intro and Adv. Optical Systems Design and then Intro and Adv. Optomechanical Systems Designs. Other courses will be intro to lasers, fiber optics, optics, motion and vibration control.    Contact Don Silberman, Director of the OISC and OSSC Outreach Chair, if you would like details on the entire proposed program.
