Dr. Ottavia Golfetto is a biomedical engineer/biophysicist with interests and expertise in multi-photon microscopy, hyper-spectral imaging, super resolution microscopy, and quantitative image analysis methods. She obtained her BS and MS in Biomedical Engineering from University of Padova, Italy. She started working with fluorescence microscopy and quantitative imaging during her MS and she continued to specialize while pursuing her PhD in Biomedical Engineering at University of California, Irvine. After she graduated in June 2013, she has been working as a post-doctoral fellow at Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope with projects focused on super-resolution microscopy to find new molecular targets for cancer treatment. Ottavia is passionate about everything that involves imaging because it’s the most effective way to show how beautiful and important Optics is in everyone’s life.
