Owen Cupp is the Chief Technology Officer for the Marketing Corporation of America.
Owen has over 18 years involvement leading strategic business and
product development for Fortune 100 high technology companies and the
U.S. Federal Government centered upon delivering engineering and
business management fusions.
His education includes a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and
a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from California
State University, Fullerton. He is currently pursuing an MBA in the #1 ranked business
program at Washington State University.
In academia, Owen collaborated extensively in guiding sensor and signal analysis methodologies that improved realizable FTIR hardware performance with novel filter algorithms to detect harmful substances more quickly and in smaller concentrations.
In industry, Owen played an intricate part with the Lantronix corporate team in producing a computer networking device of which won the 2005 Innovation of the Year Award from Electronic Design Magazine in Embedded Systems. And for several years, Owen managed Mercury Defense's Marketing Communications and Sales Operations functional areas; supporting technological innovation for new product ventures.
Owen is on the Board of the IEEE Orange County Entrepreneurial Network (OCEN); Past Treasurer, Councilor, and Membership Chair of the OSSC, and is active in the following professional organizations: IEEE, OSSC, Tau Beta Pi, ION, SEG, AOC, and NABE. He said, “As an OSSC Board Member, I will offer mature representation and perspectives for the new generation of American engineers emerging; and help drive OSSC growth in attracting participation based on the Society’s legacy of excellence.”
