 Robert Lee first became interested in optics while working at a family optometry office in high school. Lenses correcting for the human eyes error held great interest for him. He began studying sciences and graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. After graduation he became Ohara Corporation’s West Coast Sales Engineer, where he is the sales contact for the western United States, Israel, as well as Thailand and Hong Kong for special application optics. He concentrates his efforts on new applications for optics. Rob began attending OSSC meetings shortly after joining O’Hara and has been the Newsletter Editor & Councilor in 2007-2008, Programs Chair in 2008-2009 and Directorry Editor in 2009-2010. In March of 2006 he married his high school and college girlfriend Haley. Rob says, “Shortly after starting with O’Hara I began attending OSSC meetings and was amazed by the enthusiasm its members had. I now have the same enthusiasm and am honored to have served as Directory Editor, Newsletter Editor and Programs Chair. Serving the OSSC as an officer has been wonderful and I look forward to continuing as an appointed officer next year.”
